November 20,2014
The 2014 National Teaching Achievement Award List has recently being announced by The Department of Education. Prof. Zhang Guangsheng, president of Anhui Business College, was granted the second prize for the teaching research project named “Creating a Platform of Business Colleges’ Ally and Promoting Disciplines’ Capability in Industrial Development”. This is the first National Teaching Achievement Award that our college staff has ever had. It is a major breakthrough that embodies substantial progress in the education reform and development of our college.
The project was initiated on the basis of the founding of Anhui Business Vocational College Ally of Higher Education. As presiding chairman, our college made great efforts in forming Industry Service Platform through Inter-College Cooperation in schooling, education, graduates employment, construction, scientific research and development. The project discussed and analyzed the process that colleges’ active measures in promoting schooling-mechanism innovation, discipline-industry connection, featured majors’ construction, and outstanding vocational talents nurturing. The project concluded the questions of how to meet the industries’ demand and support industries’ development with solid theoretical analysis and practical illustration. The project inspired subsequent research and practices on College-Enterprise Cooperation.
The National Teaching Achievement Award is the top national award in education, given every four years. It is as well-known and same-weighted as 3 other National Award, namely National Natural Science Award, National Technical Invention Award, and National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology. In 2014, only 451 items of vocational education achievement won National Teaching Achievement Award, among which there is 1 Special Award, 50 First Awards, and 400 Second Awards.
