2014 College Skills Competition for Students held successfully

The annual “College Skills Competition” was held from December 22 to 28, 2014 on campus with 209 teams and 861 participants joining 26 competition items. Those items include accounting, taxing, ERP information application, electronic products design and assembly, Shopping mall management and sales skill, tour guide service, customs declaration, Real Estate business, secretary skills, animation design, visual design, Spoken English competition, etc. The number of participants and items increased compared to that of last year.
The final competition was arranged to start early morning on Saturday. Departments involved were doing all necessary preparation and making sure facilities, software and procedures meet the requirement of competition. More importantly, many teachers and students have devoted their spare time into training and practicing since a month ago or even earlier. This weekend witnessed their hard work and real talent in high standard competitions.
Meanwhile, the competition attracted many audiences and won much popularity. Students are realizing the importance of such competition for its recognition in society and great benefits in personal career. The professional skills’ training now becomes a focus of college education, which helps college to establish a truly visionary schooling orientation.
College leaders, including Party Secretary, Prof. Zhang Shunlai, Deputy Secretary, Prof. Zhu Guangying and Vice President, Prof. Yang Wenlan, inspected all contest spots and items offering guidance and suggestions. They also gave teams and participants pep talks before the competitions.
